From Shelter Floors to Forever Homes

We’re Dean and Jill Gilmore—lifelong animal lovers and proud supporters of SoCares Animal Shelter. Our journey started in 2015, spending weekends walking and exercising unclaimed dogs, helping them rebuild trust and find their way to a forever home.

What began as volunteering soon grew into a mission. We donated, fundraised, and built a community of people who shared photos, videos, and stories—each one helping another dog find comfort and love. But we wanted to do more. Something lasting. Something that gave back every single day.
That’s how Evertail was born.

The Spark Behind Evertail

Because every dog deserves comfort, and every human deserves gear that lasts. Through our shelter work, we saw the same problem over and over—pet products that didn’t hold up. Mats that tore, blankets that didn’t protect, bags that broke after a few outings.

So we asked ourselves: What if we could create something better? Something durable, practical, and beautiful—designed with heart, not just profit?
The result was the Transformable Pet Living Mat. A plush, durable, water-resistant mat that folds and zips into a stylish tote, reducing the clutter of multiple pet products. Whether at home, in the car, or outdoors, it’s an essential that makes life smoother for dogs and their humans.

Our connection with SoCares Animal Shelter began long before Evertail was created. Through volunteering, product donations, fundraising efforts and ongoing support, we're committed to helping rescue dogs find comfort, care and a fresh start.

Our dream? That every adopted dog leaves the shelter with their very own Transformable Mat—a soft start to their new chapter, filled with comfort and care.
